Bar on a Bike was created from a shared love of mixology and flavour, combined with a passion for bringing new life to lost and forgotten objects. So…what makes the mobile bar so unique? In short; its commitment to delivering the very best of Britain’s flavours in a fun and quirky way!

The ‘Great Flavour Adventure’ started out as nothing more than a far fetched dream to bring something truly fun and unique to the vintage mobile bar scene and after a lot of hard work and determination, the business has since expanded to cater for events of all sizes across the UK. We’ve been luck enough to work with the likes of Virgin, House of Fraser, Jelly Belly and BBC Good Food, as well as be part of so many special weddings and parties.

We hired ‘Bar on a Bike’ to provide the Welcome cocktail at Virgin Unite’s 10th Anniversary event. We were delighted to be able to employ a Virgin Start up company to provide this service as it was important to us to keep it in the family, but there was nothing ‘start up’ about the service we received.  The Bar on a Bike were professional and slick from the beginning;  it’s pretty unusual to have a bar on a bike, but it works!  It looks great but is also totally functional and we had speedy service from 3 highly professional and jolly barmen throughout the evening. Simon and Pamela from ‘Bar on a Bike’ had also worked with us from the beginning to design a cocktail that fitted our brief perfectly and their unique partnership with Jelly Belly Jelly beans adds a whole new aspect … as well as talking point … to the cocktail experience: The Sparkling Tutu Tipple consisted of Vanilla syrup, juicy Chambourd and a dash of cranberry juice drizzled over crushed ice and topped up with sparkling bubbly served with toasted marshmallow Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. Needless to say the Bar (on a Bike) was drunk dry by our guests and everyone commented on what a great addition to our party it had been!

We wanted something unique for our Wedding celebration and Bar on a Bike fitted the bill perfectly. We were also keen to support a local small business and get as many of the drinks locally sourced. We met Simon before the event and he helped us create the perfect drinks menu, including local gin and beer, and the most amazing non-alcoholic raspberry ginger drink that went down very well with our guests. The bar itself looks stunning, we are both designers and wanted something with a bit of an edge. We had lots of compliments on the day about Bar on a Bike, with its vintage timber cladding and cool accessories, including a vintage typewriter and of course the bike itself. The staff also looked the part and were great fun, really adding to the festival atmosphere we were aiming for. I couldn’t recommend Bar on a Bike more highly, just need to organise another event so we can use them again!

Pam & Simon – Co-Founders of Bar on a Bike, the husband and wife team put their combined PR, marketing and events skills together to solve the problem of how best to up-cycle an old vintage tricycle. The mobile bar-with-a-difference was born and since its inception has been pedalling from strength to strength, bringing unique and interesting flavours to events throughout the UK.

Alexis – An international flavour adventurer, cocktail aficionado, runner, photographer, and experienced startup business pro. Alexis joined the team after discovering a shared passion for flavour over a few cocktails at one of the tricycle’s first outings at a food festival in London.

Pam, Simon and Alexis are always happy to chat to anybody with a shared love of all things great and flavoursome so feel free to get in touch.
