Custom & Vintage Bicycle Bars

Bar on a Bike was created from a shared love of adventure and flavour, combined with a passion for bringing new life to lost and forgotten objects. So…what makes the mobile bar so unique?

In short; its commitment to delivering the very best of Britain’s flavours in a fun and quirky way!
The ‘Great Flavour Adventure’ started out as nothing more than a far fetched dream to bring something truly fun and unique to the vintage mobile bar scene and after a lot of hard work and determination, the business has since expanded to cater for events of all sizes across the UK.

We’ve been lucky enough to work with the likes of Virgin, House of Fraser, Jelly Belly and BBC Good Food, as well as be part of so many special weddings and parties.

Created using our custom and vintage tricycles with hand built bar fronts, Bar on a bike is a unique and quirky mobile bar for hire or bespoke orders for sale….

You were an asset to our whole event – you really added to the atmosphere and general hullabaloo! People in the office have been raving about how cool you were and how yummy the cocktails were. We hired Bar on a Bike to be the perfect addition to our new summer event and they were just that! Simon and Alexis were incredibly friendly and chatty throughout the evening and the drinks were very high quality. We had a lot of happy guests and that’s all we could ask for. I’d recommend anyone looking for a pop up bar, especially if you have limited space and want super lovely, polite people to work with.

I can’t even begin to thank you enough for the amazing Bar on Bike service at the wedding. It was one of the most talked about things at the wedding and our guests were so blown away by how great everything tasted and looked!

We wanted something unique for our Wedding celebration and Bar on a Bike fitted the bill perfectly. We were also keen to support a local small business and get as many of the drinks locally sourced. We met Simon before the event and he helped us create the perfect drinks menu, including local gin and beer, and the most amazing non-alcoholic raspberry ginger drink that went down very well with our guests.

The bar itself looks stunning, we are both designers and wanted something with a bit of an edge. We had lots of compliments on the day about Bar on a Bike, with its vintage timber cladding and cool accessories, including a vintage typewriter and of course the bike itself.

The staff also looked the part and were great fun, really adding to the festival atmosphere we were aiming for. I couldn’t recommend Bar on a Bike more highly, just need to organise another event so we can use them again!

Innis & Gunn.

In 2002 Fonder and Master Brewer Dougal Gunn Sharp was asked to create a beer to mature in bourbon barrels to impart a sweet, malty flavour. This beer would then be thrown out, and the barrels would go on to age spirits. but Douglas has a brain wave;  What if this were the start of something great? What if the beer was actually getting better whilst in the barrel? Turns out he was absolutely right and Innis & Gunn was born.

The classic menu

For those who want quality but not quirky we offer a classic menu of quality drinks.

Wine society sourced red and white.

We would normally recommend a Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot as the choice of wine. They are a safe bet for all tastes and at this level of quality, they are delicious options.

We can provide Champagne on request but this is not included in our packages, we’d go bankrupt if everyone
chose Champagne all night! It is an additional cost because we only serve Champagne from the growers, small batch and delicious.…No big champagne houses here. Just single grape, single vineyard quality Champagne from the region.
This is served at £8 per glass

We offer Edinburgh gin with infused tonics, single malt whisky and Scottish rum with mixers.

Our beer menu is above. All are amazing Scottish brands but Brewgooder will make you feel good inside knowing
your enjoyment of their beer contributes towards clean water wells around the world for those who need it most. Wee heavy is for those who like something on the ale side. Fruity, sweet and strong.
